Dietary Aide (Homemaker)

Full Time & Part Time

** Pay rate up to $15.95/hour**

United Methodist Communities in Camden County, a 5-Star full-service senior living community that is a model in person-centered care community, located in beautiful Collingswood, NJ is seeking a Dietary Aide (Homemaker).

The Dietary Aide (Homemaker) performs the combined duties of dining services, housekeeping and laundry.

Requirements for a Dietary Aide (Homemaker):

  • Successful completion of ServeSafe course and certification (preferred).
  • Successful completion of Dining Assistant Training course (preferred).
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and county regulations (preferred).

Responsibilities for a Dietary Aide (Homemaker):

  • Prepare high quality food in accordance with all pertinent safety and health regulations.
  • Follow menus and recipes correctly, making any necessary or requested substitutions appropriately.
  • Understand liberalized therapeutic diets and special food requirements and find ways to make such modifications palatable and enjoyable.
  • Regularly elicit residents' direction in choices of foods, menus, recipes and presentation.
  • Assist residents who are unable to eat without support (with proper training and certification) as appropriate.
  • Consistently follow standard principles of sanitation and universal precautions to preserve food quality and prevent the transmission of food-borne illness.
  • Assist with taking inventory of, storing and ordering household grocery supplies.
  • Provide a clean, healthy and safe environment.
  • Promote a harmonious, pleasant and attractive environment.
  • Clean surfaces and floor of bathroom, room, and kitchen.
  • Clean bedroom and living room; vacuum carpets and dust rooms.
  • Maintain equipment and cooking area to ensure safety and sanitation requirements are met; keep a clean, tidy and organized kitchen in compliance with all regulations; cleans when necessary; reports repair and maintenance needs appropriately.
  • Takes temperature of foods and equipment and maintains proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Help to prepare and serve appropriate snacks and meals.
