LPN: Licensed Registered Nurse/RN: Registered Nurse

** Pay rate up to $34.50/hour for an LPN and $42.50/hour for an RN; based on experience**
United Methodist Communities is currently seeking an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse or RN: Registered Nurse for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.
The LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse or RN: Registered Nurse performs ongoing monitoring of residents' physical and mental status to assure maintenance of optional level of function. Responsible for the daily clinical aspect of the Resident Care Department, functioning to meet all residents' needs.
Requirements for an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse or RN: Registered Nurse:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Prior Long Term Care experience
- Current New Jersey LPN or RN License.
Responsibilities for an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse or RN: Registered Nurse:
- Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
- Assist the DRL in the provision of services to residents.
- Ensures the completion of assessment/ reassessment and the service plan in conjunction with the residents' family, the personal care assistants/ medication aides and other necessary individuals.
- Assists in the coordination of transitions (internally and externally) ensuring proper completion of re documentation in HER ¬ification to the business office.
- Assesses, monitors, reports and follows up with residents who have experienced an accident, incident or change in condition.
- Accurately and promptly transcribes orders (MAR/TAR).
- Oversee coordination of residents' health and wellness needs, ancillary services, medication program management and completion of assessments and individual service plans as per state guidelines.
- Provides for Case Management Services, e.g. scheduling of doctor appointments, studies, transportation, obtaining referrals, pre-certs, prescriptions for residents receiving level 2-4 nursing services
- Timely destroys expired and discontinued medication and narcotic as per UMC policy and procedure.
